What is the President's Volunteer Service Award?

Established in 2003, the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) honors Americans who inspire others through dedicated volunteer service. It recognizes individuals, families, and groups meeting specific volunteer hour standards over a 12-month period or lifetime.

How to Earn Your Award Through BPA

Diligently log all your volunteer hours. The great news is these hours aren’t limited to BPA-specific activities! Your service across a wide range of projects and community initiatives can count.

Submit Your Application

BPA reviews and approves PVSA submissions once per year. The application window is from January through March annually.
