The Board of Trustees is the governing body of Business Professionals of America. It includes a diverse group of educators, industry professionals, and leaders who oversee the strategic direction, budget, and assets of the organization.
What the Board of Trustees Does
The Board of Trustees oversees key areas of the organization.
Setting policies and overseeing operations to ensure effective and consistent management of the organization
Meeting throughout the year to review key organizational matters and make informed decisions
Ensuring alignment with BPA’s mission and vision to guide long-term direction and impact
Approving and monitoring the annual budget to maintain financial health and accountability

The Board has 13 voting members and 2 non-voting members (the Immediate Past Chair and the Executive Director). Trustees are elected at the National Leadership Conference and serve three-year terms with the exception of the presidents of the post-secondary and secondary divisions who serve for one year.
